Areas of Expertise

Contract And Breach Of Contract

Mr. Edmunds has litigated virtually every type of contract, commercial, corporate, and business dispute. He brings a deep command of the law to the interpretation and drafting of contracts—whether simple or complex, written or oral—and applies the governing legal principles with precision. His foremost priority is strategic problem-solving, with an emphasis on resolving disputes efficiently and, when possible, outside the courtroom. When litigation is unavoidable, Mr. Edmunds is a formidable advocate with a proven record of success before both judges and juries.

Employment

Mr. Edmunds has extensive experience litigating employment matters before juries, judges, and arbitrators, including claims of wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour violations, and class actions. He has successfully represented both employees and employers, consistently securing favorable outcomes through skilled advocacy and sound legal judgment.

Real Estate And Land-use

There is virtually no type of real estate problem or dispute Eric Edmunds has not handled in 37 years of experience.  These include boundary and neighbor disputes, easement problems, landlord-tenant, construction defects, representation of real estate brokers, mortgage foreclosures, condominium disputes including Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R's), escrow disputes, and many others.  His focus is on problem solving, and, when possible, getting the deal to close.

Corporate Divorce

Business disputes between partners and shareholders in closely-held corporations and LLC's are a fact of life.  But making a split or a buy-out is not always easy, and fraught with pitfalls.  Eric Edmunds has extensive experience with the legal process involved in a corporate divorce, and with the process of negotiation toward that goal.

Probate

Eric Edmunds has extensive experience with the probate process, including wills and trusts, and disputes among heirs and beneficiaries.  He has handled will contests, trust contests, defended and prosecuted claims against estates, suing and defending executors and trustees, including claims involving undue influence, testamentary competence, and elder abuse.  He has litigated trust claims all the way to the California Supreme Court.

China Bridge

Edmunds and Associates represents Chinese clients in outbound investments to the United States.  Working with our partners in Beijing and Shanghai, we serve the client's needs in investment advice, partnerships, real-estate purchases and deals, and partner with stateside real estate brokers and EB-5 immigration lawyers to accomplish the client's goals.

Appeals

Eric Edmunds has handled virtually every type of dispute in the state and federal courts of appeal, and has briefed and argued published precedential decisions.  He knows the inside workings of the appellate process from his time clerking in the chambers of a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals judge.  If you are appealing a bad result in the trial court, or defending a successful one there being challenged, Eric knows the process well.
